Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your
Nairobi hotel. Thereafter depart for the Masai Mara Game
Reserve, stopping at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and
at Narok town for lunch. Arrive in time for a late afternoon
game drive in this park, which is essentially the northern
extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park as an artificial
border only separates the two. Dinner and overnight at a lodge/campsite.
Day 2: Masai Mara
Early breakfast followed by a full day of game
drives within the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for it’s
black maned lions, elephants and buffalo that make three out of
the ‘big five’ though luck is essential for spotting the other
two namely park’s animal concentration and abundance is second
to none. We will cater for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool
where with luck you may spot crocodiles basking on the rocks.
Numerous plains game including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra,
Masai giraffe can be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and
vulture. Rest of meals and overnight at a lodge/campsite.
Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive.
After breakfast depart for Nakuru. While on the highway Mount
Longonot (which is of volcanic origin) and Lake Naivasha can be
seen from afar. Lunch at lodge/campsite. Afternoon option game
or (at an extra cost) nature walk with a Masai guide, visit
local Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle. All
activities will end in the late afternoon. Proceed for evening
game drive. Dinner and overnight at a lodge, budget hotel /
campsite.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Nairobi
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive.
After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nairobi with lunch en-route, arriving in the late afternoon / early evening.
