acacia bush predominant.

scrub and long grass. Man-made dams have also added a further
habitat, favorable to certain species of birds and other aquatic

the dry season. This park is also one of the most successful of Kenya's rhino
sanctuaries. Attraction include annual wildebeest and zebra

large predators, aggregations of large herbivores, Ivory Burning
Site Monument and walking trails.

conservation education to Kenyans and visitors from all over the
world. Over the years, exotic animals' species not necessarily
falling in the categories mentioned above have found their way
into the animal orphanage. Problem animals have also been
restrained here. However, the orphanage today remains the most
visited wildlife facility in Kenya and especially by Kenyans.
