Mara Sopa Lodge

The Mara Sopa Lodge is one of the first lodges to be built in the famous Masai Mara and is located on the slopes on Oloogams Hills. Surrounded by a fauna covered a rich landscape of sweet smelling jasmine flowers and huge desert cacti.

Mara Sopa Lodge has 50 traditional round house buildings with thatched roofs each featuring 2 rooms. Each room at the Mara Sopa Lodge has 2 double beds with mosquito nets, en-suite bathroom with shower, ornamental fire place, chairs and a coffee table and each room has a veranda with seating offering views over the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Mara Sopa Lodge offers the Jumbo Bar located in the elegant lounge and the Pool Bar isituated in the pool area. Ol Murani Bar has a billiard table and television and is located at the bottom of the building, it has a viewing deck in front and at night you can view the hyenas, wild dogs and jackals feeding.

Mara Sopa Lodge's dining room has lovely high ceilings and red painted walls adorned with paintings of Masai warriors going about their everyday life. Some walls feature beautiful hand beaded necklaces and in the centre you will find a huge fireplace, decorated with life size carvings of Masai warriors and their shields.
