Serena Mountain Lodge

Serena Mountain Lodge is raised on stilts above the forest canopy, a timbered drawbridge leads from the forest and up on to the wooden ‘decks’ of the lodge. The lodge offersf snugly comfortable, cabin-styled rooms.

Serena Mountain Lodge offers accommodation in 42 guest rooms; 18 rooms with two single beds, 4 rooms with doubles beds and 2 rooms with single beds. Each timber-built, cabin-styled room has its own luxury ensuite bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the water hole. The décor, which echoes the Kikuyu culture, features hand-woven wall hangings, soft lighting and cosily-warm soft furnishings.

Serena Mountain Lodge's timbered dining room is surrounded by windows and has been built on stilts so as to seemingly float above the liana-strung forest whilst commanding enchanting views over this primeval environment. The menu has been planned to offer a blend of traditionally hearty safari favourites, spicy ethnic cuisine, crisp salads and internationally-themed dishes.

Activities to engage in at the Serena Mountain Lodge include guided walks through the forest, trout fishing in the clear mountain streams, trips to the high moorlands of the mountain, and 5-day luxury climbs of the mountain.
